About Author Joanne Rupp

Author Joanne Rupp is a published poet, short story writer, and children’s storybook writer. Ms. Rupp (LaBate) was born in Hibbing, Mn. She now lives with her husband, Terry in Neenah, WI. Joanne and her husband, Terry own a small business located in Oshkosh, WI which they have owned for the past 21+ years. They have 4 children and 4 grandchildren who they spend a good amount of time with.  Joanne is also certified as a substitute teacher in the State of Wisconsin for grades Pre-K through grade 12. Previously Joanne owned a licensed pre-school/day care center for 17 years. 

Ms. Rupp is passionate about family, life events, and nature. Her vivid imagination captures her thoughts, ideas, and feelings in her creative writing. She first started writing at the junior high school level, writing in school newspapers and later after the local Hibbing Daily Tribune, Hibbing, MN as a High School Correspondent. Along the way, she has written various company papers.  Life is fun and informative in most of the venues she writes in; However, there is always a reason for her writing a piece, and often calls attention to the reality of life’s issues and some of our more complicated situations. For example, in her children’s books, the author puts forth ideas in handling social/emotional issues in young children. She encourages children, parents and caretakers in a fun, well-researched way to overcome these challenges that children experience at  young ages. She presents an opportunity for growth for her readers. She is well-researched in her writing in venues that require informative information. As you read some of her work, realize that she is not limited to a certain style or subject. She has a very wide lens when it comes to looking at the world. It is her hope that you will explore the world through various writing venues and take a pen and write your first sentence if you so choose to. After all, we all have gifts, and we all have so much to share! Joanne Rupp’s third book in the “Butterscotch Adventure Series” has just been released and is available on many platforms.
